Now that autumn has arrived, it is the perfect time to refresh your home! Autumn and winter are when we spend the most time in our homes, whether it’s cosy nights in or movie days, it will always be the place you can look forward to returning to after a day out. So, make your home ready for the new season with some beautiful new flooring.
Carpets
Carpet is a natural choice for keeping your home warm this autumn, as the colder weather begins to set in carpet will trap the warm air within its fibres. Being thick and soft means that carpet is incredibly comfy underfoot, it is ideal for bedrooms or the lounge as it creates a more restful atmosphere where you can snuggle up and get cosy!
With a huge choice of styles, colours, and finishes, we are bound to have something to suit all tastes and interiors. Opting for darker carpet shades will add warmth to your home and create a sleeker feel, whereas lighter carpets can complement bolder interiors perfectly.
Hard flooring
Hard flooring is likely to be preferable in the bathroom or kitchen as they often receive the most foot traffic within the home. The durable and easy to clean qualities of hard flooring, make it perfect for those with children or pets as it will withstand muddy footprints (or pawprints) this autumn!
A favourite of ours is Karndean, which can beautifully replicate wood, stone, and tile. Ideal if you are looking to implement more modern and contemporary flooring, that can still perfectly reflect the natural, earthy tones that autumn brings us.
Rugs
Rugs bring the best of both worlds, if you cannot choose between carpet or hard flooring, they are also a great way to add bold accent colours to your home. Rich orange, red and brown tones can be used to replicate those crisp autumn leaves and gold can be introduced to mimic intense sunsets. Whatever shades you choose, all the above are known to inspire a warm and cosy feel in your home.
